The carrier is formed of two parts (2,3), one part (2) having axial webs (8), with a triangular profile, which engages into a recess in the other part. The ends of the webs facing the holders (12) each have a step (10). The steps are of a height corresponding to the thickness of the other carrier part (3) in the area of the holders. The holders in the second part have a triangular profile (11), which corresponds to the web formed by the step. Triangular profiles and holders are connected by press-fit. The first carrier part may be a precision forged section, and the second part a sintered section.
