PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel unit having a liquid crystal display screen and a reel window (reel display portion) which are allowed to be disposed adjacent to each other in a reel gaming machine, and to provide a reel-type game machine having a reduced distance between the liquid crystal display screen and the reel window (reel display portion). SOLUTION: The reel unit 10 includes a rotary display body 12 having at least one reel 20 and a reel side frame 34 for rotatably supporting the at least one reel 20, and a reel housing 14 having an opening portion 14A and internally housing at least one rotary display body 12 through the opening portion 14A. The reel unit is provided with an inside fixing device 54 on the backside of the opening portion 14A in the inside of the housing 14, and the reel side frame 34 of the rotary display body 12 is removably fixed to the reel housing 14 by the fixing device 54.
