<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic body detecting device that simplifies an electric circuit and remarkably reduces the cost and size of the device. <P>SOLUTION: The magnetic body detecting device includes: an output coil 106 that outputs a detection signal (output signal Eout) of a magnetic body in a magnetic environment; and a differential transformer 100 that has driving coils 104 and 105 differentially connected to the output coils 106 and driven by an AC signal (input signal Ein). It also includes: an AC signal generator 101 that generates an AC signal; a phase difference detector 103 that detects a phase difference between the AC signal and the detection signal; and a controller 107. Based on a phase difference detected by the phase difference detector 103, the controller 107 detects the concentration of the magnetic body in the magnetic environment. Based on each phase difference in one of a plurality of predetermined magnetic environments when an AC signal is generated, the controller 107 creates a phase difference data table.
