PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper having excellent smoothness and printing suitability and high whiteness though the amount of coating is lightweight of 10 g/m<SP>2</SP>or less based on one side. SOLUTION: The coated paper has base paper, and at least one coated layer consisting essentially of a pigment and an adhesive on the base paper.
