PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently improve ignitability of air-fuel mixture by extending flying distance of plasma jet further in a plasma jet ignition internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This engine is provided with an ignition device 1 arranged around a cylinder upper part.
