PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery-powered portable apparatus that executes prescribed processing in accordance with a user's desire even when a power supply is interrupted by battery exhaustion. SOLUTION: The portable apparatus is driven by battery power. The portable apparatus is provided with an operation detection means for detecting prescribed operation, a power-supply control means for supplying power only to the operation detection means when battery potential is below a prescribed value and power-on operation by a user is inhibited, and an execution means that is driven by the remaining battery power so as to execute prescribed processing when the operation detection means detects prescribed operation.
