PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a box body capable of immediately judging that it is a half-fitted state with eyes even when the half-fitted state of a cover is caused. SOLUTION: The box body (electric connection box) includes an upper cover 10 and a lower cover 60 for housing an internal component 70, the upper cover and the lower cover are provided with an engaging mechanism (engaging part 20 and a part 62 to be engaged) to be engaged so that one of the upper end parts of both covers is locked to the other and a locking mechanism (locking part 15 and a part 65 to be locked) to be engaged so that one of the lower end parts of both covers is locked to the other, and both covers are fitted in a regular state by regularly engaging the engaging mechanism in the state of regularly engaging the locking mechanism. A projection 22 for securing a gap H through which the inside is visible between the upper end parts of both covers by abutting the cover on the opposite side when the engagement of the engaging mechanism is in an irregular state is provided on the upper end part of the upper cover, and the color of the internal component visible from the gap and the color of both covers are made different.
