<p>The present invention discloses a method and an apparatus for generating DQPSK encoding optical signal and belongs to the communication field. The method comprises: splitting the optical signal to obtain two polarized optical signals; modulating one signal in the two polarized optical signals and shifting its phase, thereby obtaining a phase-shifted and polarized optical signal; modulating the other signal in the two polarized optical signals, thereby obtaining the other polarized and modulated optical signal; combining the phase-shifted and polarized optical signal and the other polarized and modulated optical signal into a polarization multiplex optical signal; and polarizing the polarization multiplex optical signal, thereby obtaining the DQPSK encoding optical signal. The apparatus comprises: a polarization beam splitter, two modulators, a phase-shifting controller, a polarization beam combiner, and a polarizer. By employing the processes of optical splitting, modulating and phase-shifting, optical combining and polarizing, the present invention enables stable generation of the DQPSK encoding optical signal.</p> |
