A method for manufacturing a mycophenolate mofetil is provided to suppress the generation of dimer or impurity during halogenations. A method for manufacturing a mycophenolate mofetil a step of reacting a mycophenolic acid of the chemical formula 2 with an aliphatic or aromatic amine base of carbon 1-12 to synthesize mycophenolic amine salt of the chemical formula 3; and a step of performing halogenation of the mycophenolic amine salt of the chemical formula 3 and esterification with 2-mopolynoethanol to produce a mycophenolate mofetil of the chemical formula 1.
