发明名称 MICROORGANISM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DEOXY POLYOL DEHYDROGENASE AND UTILIZATION OF THE SAME
摘要 [PROBLEMS] To provide a microorganism being capable of producing deoxy polyol dehydrogenase. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A microorganism belonging to the genus Enterobacter which is capable of producing deoxy polyol dehydrogenase having the same structure as ribitol or L-iditol at the C2-and C3-positions. This microorganism is Enterobacter sp. IK7 (Deposition No. NITE P-271). A method of producing a deoxyketose characterized by comprising treating a solution containing a deoxy polyol having the same structure as ribitol or L-iditol at the C2-and C3-positions with a culture medium containing deoxy polyol dehydrogenase, which has been obtained by culturing the above described microorganism, or the deoxy polyol dehydrogenase, thus oxidizing the deoxy polyol to form the corresponding deoxyketose, and then harvesting the same. The deoxy polyol is 1-deoxy D-allitol and the corresponding deoxyketose is 1-deoxy L-psicose. Alternatively, the deoxy polyol is L-rhamnitol and the corresponding deoxyketose is 1-deoxy-L-fructose. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
