HYDROPHILIC COMPOSITION HAVING MILDEWPROOFING EFFECT AND HYDROPHILIC MEMBER

Disclosed is a hydrophilic composition containing not less than 50% by mass of a hydrophilic polymer of a specific structure having a hydrolyzable silyl group in a side chain relative to the solid content. The hydrophilic composition also contains an additive having mildewproofing effect. The hydrophilic composition has excellent water resistance, and maintains high hydrophilicity without deteriorating mildewproofing effect even after long-term storage under high temperature high humidity conditions. A hydrophilic member is also disclosed.
