A plasma display panel is provided to improve a color reproduction range by using a red phosphor including a first colored phosphor and a second uncolored phosphor. A pair of substrates(11,21) is faced each other. A barrier rib(24) is formed between a pair of substrates in order to partition a discharge space. An electrode group(12a,12b,13a,13b,22) is arranged on a pair of substrates in order to generate discharge in a discharge space. A red phosphor layer(R), a green phosphor layer(G), and a blue phosphor layer(B) emit a light by the discharge. The red phosphor layer includes a first colored phosphor and a second uncolored phosphor. A luminance of the first phosphor is higher than a luminance of the second phosphor. A color purity of the second phosphor is higher than a color purity of the first phosphor.
