<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display for reducing depth of the device even while restricting an angle of visibility by utilizing a light guiding body provided with a reflection face composed of a part of circular arc of a circle and being advantageous for miniaturization of the device. <P>SOLUTION: In this display, the light emitted from a light source arranged on a focus f1 side on one side enters through an incoming face 25 of an elliptical mirror 17, is reflected on the reflection face of ellipse, goes out through an outgoing face 27, passes through a liquid crystal display panel 5 of transmission type, and is collected on a focus f on a focus f2 side on the other side. Consequently, an angle of visibility is restricted in only the direction of focus f on the other side. Since it is enough that the light source is merely arranged on a side of the elliptical mirror 17 to collect the light from the focus f1 on one side of ellipse onto the focus f2 side on the other side, depth of this device is reduced, and this device is miniaturized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
