PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method for a melt-spinning spinneret capable of thoroughly cleaning foreign matters such as carbides of polymers, additives, inorganic additives contained in coating materials for cleaning the spinneret face for use during the spinning process, that could not be fully removed by a conventional spinneret cleaning method, in addition to removing these foreign matters without corroding the spinneret. SOLUTION: The cleaning method for the polyester type melt-spinning spinneret includes the step of performing an alkaline washing using an alkaline solution for a primary cleaning in a medical fluid treatment after the polyester type melt-spinning spinneret is treated at a high-temperature by means of a salt-decomposition and/or a hydrolysis, and an acid washing using a phosphoric acid solution for a secondary cleaning, followed by an ultrasonic cleaning.
