<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To imprint a natural picture on the surface of an object to be displayed even in the case of use of picture data corresponding to corner parts of an environment map with respect to a three-dimensional picture generation device suitable for representation of imprinting of an environment to the object surface. SOLUTION: Environment mapping to imprint a surrounding scene to the object to be displayed is performed. An environment map 10 is provided, which stored picture data of the scene, in each face of a cube. A reference point 20 on the environment map 10 is determined for each point of the object to be displayed. Picture data P for the reference point 20 is operated by using picture data stored in the environment map 10 to perform bilinear interpolation. When the number of picture data (a, b, c) which can be used for bilinear interpolation becomes 3 by setting reference points 20 in texels 58, 60, and 62 in corner parts of the cube, prescribed picture data (1a, 1b, 1c) is added.</p> |
