GREASE COMPOSITION FOR CONTROL CABLE AND CONTROL CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide grease for a control cable, which inhibits the abrasion of a liner and improves durability when used for a control cable in comparison with conventional grease; and to provide a control cable using the grease.

SOLUTION: The control cable 10 includes an inner cable 11; an outer casing 12 accommodating the inner cable; and the grease 13 applied to the outer periphery of the inner cable. The grease 13 includes a base oil including a silicone oil; and a thickener, has 2-40 mass% of a compound powder with a lamellar structure as a solid lubricant, and contains no polytetrafluoroethylene resin powder or 2.4 mass% or less of a polytetrafluoroethylene resin powder as the solid lubricant.
