An excimer lamp is provided to prevent the reduction of the sealed fluoride by being made of a small absorption of the fluorine. The light emitting tube(2) is made of a straight pipe shape. The both ends of the light emitting in the longitudinal direction are opened. The cap type members(3, 4) are installed at both ends. The sealing material is charged between the light emitting tube and the cap type member. The sealing material consisting of the alloy of copper and silver is used as the material of the soldering material. A pair of outer electrodes(10, 11) is electrically faced to the outside of the light emitting tube.
