PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a corrugated insert reducing loss in air pressure by 25% compared with a known corrugated insert while maintaining substantially the same heat exchanging efficiency as the known corrugated insert. SOLUTION: In the louver type corrugated insert for a heat exchanger, a pair of flat plates 14 are alternately overlapped via a bent part 16, and each flat plate 14 includes a plurality of square louver plates 24 with two short sides and a long side cut and bent, the corrugated insert extending while being continuously corrugated as a whole. In each louver plate 24, a first tilt angle α is formed on a first short side 30 side, and a second tilt angle β is formed at a second short side 32 side, with respect to a plane P of the flat plate 14. The cut long side becomes a terminal end of the tilts and the louver plate is twisted as a whole. The heat exchanger equipped with this corrugated insert is particularly suitable for an automobile.
