PERSONAL AUTHENTICATION DEVICE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication device for giving reasonable security by: providing a means for making it hard for a third party other than a user to see a password input part; and stabilizing a position of a hand or finger when authenticating by a biometric authentication part.

SOLUTION: The personal authentication device has: a password input part for having a user input a password from a keyboard; and a biometric authentication part for checking whether or not the user is a principal on the basis of biological information on the user's hand or finger. The password input part is disposed at a position closer to the user side than the biometric authentication part. The personal authentication device has a cover provided with an opening part which is disposed on an upper surface of the password input part and allows a hand for inputting the password from the keyboard to be put in.
