PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition from which a forming can be produced, which forming comprises a biodegradable resin dispersed excellently, is excellent in mechanical strength, tensile elongation and heat resistance and has a small amount of a volatile organic compound to be generated therefrom. SOLUTION: A method for producing the resin composition comprises: a first kneading step of kneading the biodegradable resin (A) with a compound (B-1) having compatibility with the biodegradable resin (A) and/or a compound (B-2) having reactivity with the biodegradable resin (A) to produce a resin composition precursor; a first degassing step of removing a volatile component generated at the first kneading step; a second kneading step of kneading the resin composition precursor with a polyolefin resin (C); and a second degassing step of removing another volatile component generated at the second kneading step.
