PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for site-selectively producing aβ-aminoalcohol compound. SOLUTION: The method for producing an oxazolidone compound represented by formula (V) includes reacting an aldehyde compound represented by formula (I) (wherein, A<SP>1</SP>is a group represented by -OR<SP>1</SP>or -NR<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>) with an aldehyde compound represented by formula (II) in the presence of a cyclic secondary amine which may have a substituent to afford a hydroxyaldehyde compound, oxidizing the compound to afford a hydroxycarboxylic acid compound, and reacting the compound with an azide compound.
