摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve practicality of a suspension device constituted of an electromagnetic type shock absorber for generating a force against a relative motion between a spring upper part and a spring lower part. SOLUTION: This shock absorber has a connection mechanism 22 elastically connecting an unsprung section 12 and an electromagnetic shock absorber 20 with elastic bodies, and the spring constant of the elastic body increases when the section 12 and absorber 20 approach each other more than a set distance as compared with the spring constant when the unsprung section 12 and the shock absorber 20 are spaced apart. The elastic bodies connecting the unsprung section 12 and the shock absorber 20 are changed over at the neutral position, for example, from/to a first elastic body 86 having a low spring constant and a second elastic body 90 having a high spring constant. With such a structure as above, excellent riding comfort is obtained when the connecting mechanism 22 is retracted and further when the connecting mechanism 22 is spaced apart, excellent ground contact performance is attained.
