PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retain flexibility of a back sheet of an absorbent article. SOLUTION: A body part of this absorbent article includes an absorbent core, a top sheet covering a main surface to the wearer side of the absorbent core, and a back sheet 23a covering a main surface to the other side of the absorbent core. The back sheet 23a in a laminated structure is equipped with a water-resistant sheet 231 as the outermost layer formed to the outermost side and an adhesive layer 232 formed of an adhesive, and a highly absorbent material layer 233 formed of a highly absorbent material such as SAP (Super Absorbent Polymer) or SAF (Super Absorbent Fiber) as the innermost layer formed nearest to the wearer to cover the outside in the side opposite to the side of the wearer of the absorbent article. In the back sheet 23a, because the innermost layer is formed of a highly absorbent material and a hydrophilic sheet to lower the flexibility by water absorption is omitted, even when water penetrating through the top sheet reaches the back sheet 23a, the flexibility of the back sheet 23a can be retained.
