摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium achieving both an over-write property and thermostability, and to provide a manufacturing method thereof, and a magnetic storage device. SOLUTION: A perpendicular magnetic recording layer 32 includes a granular layer 7, a non-magnetic layer 8, a granular layer 9, and a magnetic layer 10. The granular layers 7, 9 are separated magnetically from each other by the non-magnetic layer 8. Magnetic anisotropy field of the granular layer 7 is 13kOe to 16kOe. Magnetic anisotropy field of the granular layer 9 is 10kOe to 13kOe. For example, a non-magnetic metal layer consisting of Ru or Ru alloy is formed as the non-magnetic layer 8. The magnetic layer 10 is consist of, for example, CoCrPt system alloy such as CoCrPtB, CoCrPtCu, CoCrPtAg, CoCrPtAu, CoCrPtTa, CoCrPtNb.
