PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector can preventing ESD. SOLUTION: The electric connector is electrically connected to a counterpart connector containing a shell. The electric connector is provided with an insulating body, a plurality of first conductive terminals, a plurality of second conductive terminals and a retaining member. The insulating body includes a base part and a tongue piece protruded from the base part. The first conductive terminal has a connection part inserted into the insulating body and electrically connected with the counterpart connector at a front part of the tongue piece. The second conductive terminal has a contact part inserted into the insulating body and electrically connected to the counterpart connector at a rear part of the tongue piece. The retaining member can prevent the first conductive terminal from coming in contact with the shell by being engaged with the first conductive terminal to be positioned between the first conductive terminal and the shell of the counterpart connector.
