FIELD: biology. ^ SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to biotechnology and is a method of obtaining 4-hydroxyisoleucine or its salt. This method involves stages of reacting biocatalyst with acetaldehyde, -aminobutyric acid and -oxobutyric acid in an aqueous solution.
