<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly complete the saving of information from a main storage device to a secondary storage device even in the power saving control period of a secondary storage device. <P>SOLUTION: A virtual storage control device for achieving a virtual storage area wider than a real storage area is provided with memory management software 331 for, when a virtual storage area which does not correspond to an real storage area is requested, saving information stored in the real storage area to an HDD 104, and for associating the requested non-corresponding virtual storage area with the real storage area in which the saved information is stored.
