PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stacked electric double-layer capacitor capable of keeping a characteristic of a capacitor unit by suppressing deformation of packing. SOLUTION: The stacked electric double-layer capacitor includes: a plurality of cells 101 stacked on one another through conductive base materials 105; two end plates 102, 102 sandwiching the plurality of cells 101 therebetween; a plurality of packing members 106 interposed between the conductive base materials 105 adjacent to each other, and along the outer peripheral parts of the conductive base materials 105; insulation spacers 103 penetrating the packing materials 106 in the stacking direction of the cells 101; and fastening screws 104 screwed to both ends of the insulation spacers 103 and fixing the cells 101 through the two end plates 102, 102, wherein the double-layer capacitor is vacuum-sealed by an aluminum laminate bag 107. In the stacked electric double-layer capacitor, the axial length of the insulation spacer 103 is set≥4/5 the stacking thickness of the cells 101. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
