A method for sorting broadcasting program and a display device using the same are provided to prevent an edited broadcasting program list from mistakenly being deleted or being reversed after a user edits the broadcasting program list. A display device searches broadcasting station information included in a broadcasting signal while increasing a received data in a tuner(S201,S202). The display device produces a user interface displaying a broadcasting program search list sorted according to the searched priority, and outputs the user interface to a display screen(S203). In case the user inputs add or delete button(S204), the display device adds or deletes a designated broadcasting program(S205). After completion of editing by adding or deleting the broadcasting program search list, if the user inputs a sorting button(S206), the display device inactivates the add or delete button in the user interface, and save the broadcasting program search list in a memory as edited(S207). The display device sorts the broadcasting program according to the broadcasting program search list stored in the memory(S208). |
