<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aftercooler which is compact and yet can dehumidify compressed air to a dew point lower than the atmospheric temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The aftercooler dehumidifies compressed air by cooling it and generating drain, and is provided with: a heat exchange part 2 cooling compressed air by radiating its heat; an oil-water separator 3 separating drain discharged from the heat exchange part 2 into oil and water; an intermittently working trap 4 intermittently discharging treated water separated from oil in the oil-water separator 3, together with compressed air; and a gas-liquid discharge part 6 discharging the treated water and compressed air so as to be sprayed over the heat exchange part 2 by the pressure of compressed air discharged from the intermittently working trap 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
