PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the judgment of errors in the degree of conveyance even when the degree of conveyance is corrected by recording a test pattern with an arbitrary recording medium. SOLUTION: The inkjet recorder with a roller for conveying the recording medium comprises a conveyance control means which controls the conveyance of the recording medium from a correction value for correcting errors in the degree of conveyance with the roller and a pattern recording means for recording the test pattern for detecting the errors in the degree of conveyance. The conveyance control means corrects the degree of conveyance of the recording medium by the correction value determined from the impact diameter of ink as the recording medium with which the test pattern is recorded.
