A scan, e.g. Positron Emission Tomography (PET), image (A) is registered with a reference image (B) and superimposed (C). In a preferably iterative process the images are normalised and a parameter, e.g. intensity or transparency, is varied to increase the relative visual significance of part of the scan image to assist in the identification of abnormalities (20 in D). |
