PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pouch secondary battery having a structure to mitigate an external shock. SOLUTION: The pouch secondary battery is composed of a first electrode plate 11, a second electrode plate 12, an electrode assembly 10 provided with a separator arranged between the first electrode plate 11 and the second electrode plate 12, and a pouch 20 containing a first case portion 21 having a housing portion 21a for housing the electrode assembly 10 and a second case portion 22 which is adhered tight with the first case portion 21 and forms sealing portions 25, 26 around the housing portion 21a respectively and seals the electrode assembly 10. The sealing portions 25, 26 are composed of a pair of wing portions 21w, 22w surrounding one side surface of the housing portion 21a and the other side surface, covering each of corner portions 27 of the housing portion 21a, formed by a bottom surface and both of the side surfaces of the housing portion 21a, and extended portions 21e, 22e which are bent and extended from the wing portions 21w, 22w each covering one region of the bottom surface of the housing portion 21a.
