<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the power saving of a data processor while maintaining a data processing speed by properly controlling power supply to a plurality of processing means capable of executing homogeneous processing. <P>SOLUTION: A CPU 101 of a data processor 100 stops power supply to an IPSec hardware processing part 304 when the state of the data processor 100 is coincident with power supply stop conditions. Also, the CPU 101 makes the IPSec hardware processing part 304 execute IPSec processing when the IPSec hardware processing part 304 is put in a power supply state. Meanwhile, the CPU 101 makes an IPSec hardware processing part 305 execute the IPSec processing when the IPSec hardware processing part 304 is put in a power stop state.
