<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for medical material surface which can control adhesiveness/non-adhesiveness of a cell to improve biocompatibility of the material surface. <P>SOLUTION: The coating material for medial material surface containing genetically modified gelatin and in the GM gelatin especially, compatibility with amino acid pairs of natural collagen is 80% or larger. As the GM gelatin, it has preferably a GXY part characteristic to the collagen and a molecular weight is between 2 KDa and 100 KDa. As the medical material, a material used for blood vessel treatment is preferably a stent or artificial blood vessel in particular, whereas the medical material surface is segmented polyurethane, polybutylene terephthalate, polylactic acid, polyglycolic acid, copolymer blend of lactic acid-glycolic acid, stainless, or nickel, and preferably encapsulates medicines, such as anticancer drug paclitaxel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
