METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DECONTAMINATING SOIL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for decontaminating soil, in each of which an oxidizer to be injected is used effectively and the soil contaminated with an organic compound of high concentration and the soil contaminated with the organic compound of low concentration can be decontaminated efficiently at the same time. SOLUTION: The method for decontaminating the soil contaminated with the organic compound is characterized in that both of chemical decomposition treatment and biological decomposition treatment are used and the surplus oxygen generated when the chemical decomposition treatment is performed is used as an oxygen source for the biological decomposition treatment. It is preferable that the chemical decomposition treatment is performed on the soil contaminated with the organic compound of high concentration and the biological decomposition treatment is performed on the soil contaminated with the organic compound of low concentration.
