The invention relates to the branch of metal forming, namely to the nonwaste high-speed cutting of rolled metal. A method of high-speed cutting of rolled metal into the billets includes arrangement of rolled metal between lower cutter and stop member installed opposite each other, creation of the effort of cutting by upper cutter and double-sided penetration of upper and lower cutter into the rolled metal. At penetration of cutter into the rolled metal the bending of rolled metal is made within the limits of its elastic deformation up to the support with simultaneous completion of cuts on the rolled metal from cutters. After this, the billet is turned in reverse direction with breaking off along the lines of made cuts. The device for implementation of said method contains a bed with fixed stop member and support made with possibility of motion in parallel to the axis of cut rolled metal, lower cutter, which is installed on the mobile anvil in the bed opposite the stop member, and upper cutter, which is installed on the mobile striker of power unit installed on the bed. In this case the support is installed at a distance &Dgr;t from front lower end placed between lower cutter and stop member of rolled metal subject to cutting, and anvil with lower cutter are installed in the bed with possibility of weakening during cutting for the value &Dgr;t. The invention provides for increase of the quality of produced billets during nonwaste high-speed cutting of rolled metal. |
