The cage has bars extending axially between rings and delimiting bores (18A, 18B) for housing cylindrical rollers or needles. The rings and the bar (16) are cracked for permitting opening of the cage on both sides of an axial plane. The cracked bar has material bridges (16A, 16B) continuously extending between the rings. The bridge is provided with a notch (22) emerging into the bore (18A) and a slit (20). Another bridge is provided with a stud (24) whose shape is complementary to the notch. The stud is inserted in the notch.
