This installation is of the type which comprises scales arranged between the silo and the distribution receptacle and which is governed by an electronic programming board. This installation is improved principally in terms of the structure and arrangement of the scales in order to obtain rapid and efficient weighing. To this end, the scales are accommodated in a box with an opening at the top for the entry of the feed, under which opening there is the weighing cell which hangs in an articulated manner from an upper crosspiece of the box, from which cell hangs, likewise in an articulated manner, a second crosspiece arranged crosswise with respect to the first and which supports the drum for receiving the feed to be weighed. This drum houses the linear motor which acts on the lower closure valve of the drum, which valve comprises elastic means which provide secure closure. <IMAGE>
