PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal generator capable of inhibiting an output of signal of excessive level user unintended when the output level of signal is altered. SOLUTION: A delay setting section (63) sets out a delaying part only, into which ATT setting signal for establishing attenuators (31, 32, 33, and 34) to non-attenuation state is input, as a delayed state. The delay part (64) established as the delayed state delays the ATT setting signal to input into the attenuators, while the other delaying parts input the ATT setting signal into attenuators with no delay. Thereby, after a setting change is implemented of the attenuators to be established as attenuation state, setting change is implemented of the attenuators to be established as non-attenuation state.
