The blue light source (2) comprises a first light emitting diode (2') capable of emitting light at a first wavelength. A first wavelength-converting material (2'') is arranged to absorb at least a portion of the light of the first wavelength, and the first wavelength-converting material (2'') is capable of emitting light at a second wavelength, which is at least 500 nm.
