<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which can cures at high sensitivity, even to the irradiation of a low power-output radiation and form an image of high picture quality and which has a high storage stability and causes no nozzle clogging at the time of injecting even when used as an inkjet recording ink, and to provide an inkjet recording method using this ink composition. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition comprises (i) a sensitizing dye expressed by general formula (I), (ii) a polymerization initiator selected from the group consisting of α-aminoketones and acylphosphine oxides and (iii) a polymerizable compound having an ethylenically unsaturated bond. In the formula (I), X is O, S or NR; n is an integer of 0 or 1; R is an hydrogen atom, an alkyl group or an acyl group; and R<SP>1</SP>through R<SP>8</SP>are each independently a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent and the respective adjacent two of R<SP>1</SP>through R<SP>4</SP>may together form a ring. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
