<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food container from which food placed on a plate can be easily taken out as it is. <P>SOLUTION: Food container 1 includes the plate 10, a ring 20 fitted on the top face of the plate 10, and a peelable strip 30 stuck to the peripheral face of the annual wall 21 of the ring 20, defining a food accommodating space S together with the annular wall 21 and peelable from the annular wall 21. By peeling the peelable strip 30 from the annular wall 21, the sides of the food F accommodated in the food accommodating space S is exposed. A projection 16 for preventing the rotation of the food is formed on the upper face of the plate 10.
