PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved wheelchair footrest guard that protects the user's feet from injury while stabilizing them on the footrest. SOLUTION: The wheelchair's opening/closing rectangular footrest is covered and surrounded with a soft and elastic molded material as a guard at three circumferential side fringes.
