<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily focus on a plurality of pieces of bioinformation with a simple construction, pick up clear images, simultaneously execute a plurality of authentications such as iris authentication, fingerprint authentication and vein authentication, realize a high-precision authentication and reduce a false authentication rate. <P>SOLUTION: The biometric authentication apparatus is provided with a transparent plate 1101 formed of glass or plastics to place thereon an object to be inspected OBJ1, a finger of a person to be authenticated, facing downward in the Figure (fingerprint carrying surface downward), a lighting system, a first information acquisition section 110 for acquiring fingerprint and vein information, a second information acquisition section for acquiring iris information from a subject OBJ2, an eye of the person to be authenticated, a light path formation section 130 for an information light, and an imaging device 140 as main components.
