<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a golf club head improved in strength, especially fatigue strength while being made low in rigidity and improved in repulsion by using a titanium alloy having very low elasticity. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head is characterized in that a cold work in a working rate of≥50% is applied to a Ti alloy containing Nb≥12 wt.% and <30 wt.% as a main additive element and practically not containing V and Zr, then the Ti alloy is used for at least a part of a face part, and a peening treatment is applied to the back surface of the part composed of the Ti alloy in the face part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
