METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING ROLLING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is difficult to control the amount of edge drop to the amount of target edge drop while maintaining the surface quality because the amount of final edge drop is not detected until the rolling at the final time ends in the case a material to be rolled which becomes one product by using one rolling mill is rolled a plurality of times with the same rolling mill.

SOLUTION: The amount of target edge drop is set for each rolling of rolling which is performed a plurality of times, the operation for controlling the edge drop so that the surface quality is affected is regulated and the target shape of every rolling is corrected so as to reduce the range of the amount of edge drop where is uncontrollable by regulation as much as possible.
