PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a message of finalization processing in accordance with a kind of an optical disk. SOLUTION: When a user takes out an optical disk 19, a disk information obtaining part 31 obtains a kind of the optical disk, a recording format, and information of a disk state, and supplies obtained information to a disk discriminating part 32 and a finalization discriminating part 33. The disk discriminating part 32 discriminates whether finalization processing is required or not depending on combination of the kind of the disk and recording format. The finalization discriminating part 33 discriminates whether the optical disk is finalization-processed or not based on a discrimination result of the disk discriminating part 32. A message display control part 34 makes a display part display the message of finalization processing in accordance with the kind of the optical disk.
