<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine output control device which suppresses racing at engine starting, prevents passengers from having uncomfortable feeling by unnatural vehicle body behavior caused by racing, and materializes improvement in drivability of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When an engine starts, a starter generator 11 is connected to a load resistance 23 side so as to increase generated current.
