<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attended position management system capable of specifying the attended position of a user using a computer while guaranteeing that the user himself/herself should be actually using the computer. <P>SOLUTION: This system comprises the computer used by the user, a network connection device managed by an administrator who connects the computer to a network, and an attendance management computer connected to the network. In the network where the user makes authentication using a personal identification document when using the computer, the attendance management computer specifies the user using the computer by the user's unique identifier stored when authenticating using the personal identification document, acquires a Mac address of the computer from an IP address of the computer by an L3 switch, furthermore acquires a port number of an L2 switch to which the computer is connected from the Mac address, and specifies the seat location of the user based on the information indicating the relation between the switches and the connection location. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
